MINA ASUL
an ode to my grandma, filomina.
MINA means "blue sky" in persian. To me, it means my grandma in heaven.
She appeared in my dream adorned in golden jewelry, telling me how pretty she felt. That dream became the spark that led me to metalsmithing and eventually to creating mina asul.

BRASS CARE GUIDE ⟡
MINA ASUL ring has a protective coating that helps prevent tarnishing and skin reactions. Over time, brass naturally develops a vintage, lived-in patina. With wear, the coating (inside the ring) may fade. You can keep that look, or bring back the shine using any of these methods:
TO POLISH YOUR RING/BANGLE:
- Use a jewelry polishing cloth
- (1 free inside the box)
- Or use a metal polish (Pledge or Brasso)
NATURAL WAYS:
- Soak in white vinegar for 15–20 minutes, then rinse with dish soap.
- At the beach? Gently rub it in the sand ⟡
AFTER CARE:
Depending on your body chemistry, brass may occasionally leave a green mark on the skin (not harmful!) MINA ASUL rings already have a protective coating, but as it naturally wears over time, you can apply a thin layer of clear nail polish on the inner part of the jewelry for extra protection.
